Exceedance Notification Troubleshooting, Tips, and Tricks
When are the exceedance notifications generated?
Lab Report exceedance notification emails are sent when the lab report is uploaded into ESdat via Labsync. These email notifications are not generated when lab reports are uploaded manually.
Field Result Notification emails are generated daily outside of business hours. A notification is generated for each Monitoring Round completed where Field Result Exceedances are detected.
I’m still not receiving a notification – what could be going wrong?
First thing to check is that your email details are correct in ESdat. This can be done from the user menu.
Check that the emails are not being blocked by your organisations email security settings. Check your junk or other folder. Ask for ESdat Online email domains below to be whitelisted by your organisations email service:
@esdat.net
@esdat.com.au
Other troubleshooting:
Check that the Environmental Standard is uploaded and is associated with the site or the location code you want the notifications triggered for.
This can be done from the Environmental Standard Menu, The Site Menu or the Locations Menu.
Check that the Chemistry Sample is being automatically allocated to the correct Site and Location during the Labsync Laboratory Report Import process.
This can be done from the Lab Report, Sample Details Menu.
Matrix match: check that the matrix specified in the environmental standard matches with the matrix type of the sample. For example – a sample with a matrix type of water will not trigger an exceedance notification for an environmental standard for a soil leachate.
This can be done from the Lab Report, Sample Details Menu.
