Tracking Coolboxes and Containers by QR or Barcode

If you have used the ESdat Field App to scan the Barcode or QR Code on your sample containers and coolboxes (see Collecting Lab eCOC information in the field) you can use the ESdat Scanner App to continue to track the ongoing movement of coolboxes or sample containers to the lab, or from the lab and into storage.

Scanning Containers into Storage

The ESdat Scanner App is accessed on your mobile device by logging into ESdat and then clicking the QR Code icon on the top right.   We recommend you bookmark this page on your device for ease of future access.

You can then track where the coolbox or container is being stored.

Locating a Sample Container

The tracking section of LSPECS provides a search tool so you can find where a container has been and where it is now.
